More stuff came back

Like this rue I just left out all winter. Had I known it stood a chance, I’d have cut it back harder in the fall.

that rue returned

Delightful!

And glorious chives, about to bloom.

A neighbor who moved out in a hurry dumped her pots carelessly in the yard, styrofoam peanuts and stones and all. I scavenged the dirt and ended up with a chunk of last summer’s sage.

Succulents in a can at the top of the stairs are getting there, but still look sad.

Welcome back, friends

Hey! Where’d you come from?

Next time, tell your buddies to come too?

Spring inspiration

First I’m looking at shapes:

I keep picking up patterns in these shapes is the good news.

Holy f-ing idea!

Finishing.
Brilliant.
I’m so terrible at it.
And then my brain also gets cluttered. It feels so good to complete things, and even better when they work and you actually want to wear them.

Of all the join-ups out there right now, this is the project I want to hop onto.

Then again, so’s this one.

I think I can combine the two, by actually finishing the clothing I’ve begun and using the patternsĀ  and fabrics I’ve hoarded this fall and winter. Think there’ll be some refashioning involved, too, not just scratch sewing.

Now to get down to business…
